Machine stretch film creates a dimensionally stable load unit by forming a strong, force-fit connection between the packaged goods and the pallet base. There are certainly also applications in which machine stretch film “merely” serves as protection against dust and water.

For example, the design of the optimal stretch film depends heavily on the type of wrapping machine on which the stretch film is processed.
